The Highland Park Hurricanes Dive Team is now accepting resumes for an experienced head dive coach to lead our team for the 2023 Summer season. Highland Park, a Division 5 team, will likely have approximately 30-40 divers of varying skill, based on last year’s numbers.

Applicant should have strong diving skills, preferably NVSL experience, and be able to impart safety, sportsmanship, and good teaching/coaching, instruction/demonstration in a fun, team spirited environment. Strong communication and organizational skills are a must.

Qualifications: Previous NVSL coaching experience is recommended (could have been as an Assistant Coach level). Must possess extensive dive knowledge and leadership qualities. Must be able to teach and motivate kids of all ages. Must be able to lead the coaching team.

Competitive college diving experience would be ideal but, not mandatory for a strong applicant. Club dive a plus.

The Head Coach will be responsible for managing the coaching team of Assistant and in-training coaches. Must have CPR Training and Certified Pool License before the first practice.

The Coach must be able to attend all practices and meets: Practices tentatively begin June 5^thin the late afternoon/evening and switch to mornings after the FCPS school year ends. Afternoons approximately 4-7 PM and mornings 7-11 AM.
