Job Title Head Dive Coach
Job Description

The Hayfield Farm Seahawks Dive Team is now accepting resumes for a Head Dive Coach to lead our team for the 2024 summer season. We will be in Division 4 for the summer 2024 season, and typically have approximately 40 divers of varying skills, ranging in age from 5 to 18.

 

Candidates should be energetic, enjoy working with kids of all ages, have prior coaching experience, and the ability to lead our Developmental and Assistant Coaches in addition to those being coached. The Head Coach must be adept at providing positive feedback and creating and maintaining a fun and safe environment. Our Dive Team places an emphasis on our divers having fun and developing a love for diving.

 

Qualifications:

· Coaching experience for at least 2 years. Head coach experience is preferred

· Lifeguard/CPR/First Aid training and Certified Pool Operator license a plus

· Past experience in competitive diving such as high school, summer league, competitive club, or college diving experience

· Possesses a deep passion for diving, love working with kids, and the ability to lead and instruct divers of all ages and skill levels

· Ability to clearly and calmly communicate with athletes, coaching staff, parents, and team representatives

· Excellent time management skills

 

Practice begins the Tuesday after Memorial Day. Practices are held in the afternoons usually 5-7pm until school is out, then practices move to the morning from 9am-12 pm. The season ends with the All-Stars meet which is typically the last Sunday of July.
