| HAMLET IS HIRING a Head Dive Coach (or two co-coaches) for the 2026 Summer NVSL Season. The Hamlet Green Feet Dive Team is in Division 7 of the Northern Virginia Swimming League (NVSL).? We are a developmental summer dive team, with a strong emphasis on teaching young new divers the skills to safely dive in competition and foster a love of diving.?Our Roster generally has ~35 divers ages 6-18. *** The Head Dive Coach must be at least 18 years old as of May 26, 2026 SCHEDULE: The 2026 regular season is from May 26 – July 26 (the NVSL All-Star Meet is on August 2) Evening practices from 4-7 pm will start on Tuesday May 26 and end on Wednesday, June 17th. Morning practices from 8:30 am -12:15 pm will start either Thursday, June 18 or Monday, June 22. There are no evening practices after June 17th. The season ends with Divisionals on 7/26 and then there is one more week for those going to All-Stars on 8/2. RESPONSIBILITIES: The head coach is responsible for coaching practices as well as for preparing meet sheets and coaching all Tuesday nights Dive A Meets. Head coaches are generally supported by 1-2 assistant coaches and junior coaches as well as the Parent Team Reps. All HSTC dive coaches working with children at the pool must have a current CPR/AED certification, Concussion training and SafeSport training. COMPENSATION / SALARY: We offer a competitive salary and provide opportunities for supplementing the salary with private lessons &/or 1-2 weeks of dive camp as well.
